2012: The Movie...

So my parents and I just watched 2012 with John Cusack and the dude from Serenity. :) Overall, I have to say it was a good movie... not TOO far fetched to be unbelievable, yet far fetched enough to really make it exciting, much like all of the "end of days" type movies that have been made in the last 10 years.

The one thing I kept asking myself was "Why doesn't he pull UP?!!?" Every time they were flying, they were just above the ground, rather than pulling up and getting away from all the carnage, but I suppose, it wouldn't be such a good idea to make a Universal Studios ride out of the driving and flying parts of the movie... I personally can't wait for that. I think it was absolutely hilarious that the kid's name was Noah... you knew from the beginning that he was going to survive the movie, since at the end, he saved everyone, and everyone here thought, "Haha... Noah's Ark..."

But yeah... as for what our future looks like, this movie is a big stretch, but still has some elements that could actually be plausible. For instance, you know that if the government knew about the end of the world, we as the general population wouldn't have a clue until minutes before the White House was destroyed. Also, to get on the Arks that would eventually save humanity, it would cost millions, if not billions of dollars to get a ticket on the boats, and they would select the "survivors" of the apocalypse based on monetary wealth, rather than individual value, or community value. Forget about the genius kid in Kenya who won't ever get recognition for his brilliance, because he'll die in the typhoon that comes and wipes out Africa. Forget about the engine mechanic in Arkansas too, who's ideas that he hasn't published would be instrumental in rebuilding the world after the apocalypse. Carrying on the species with a bunch of rich people who may or may not be worthy of it beyond having billions of dollars... not so good.

Beyond that, the movie was bull... :) You knew from the beginning that the scientist and president's daughter would be a couple by the end, and that the hero and his ex would be back together, with the ex's new guy dying... It was predictable, and while the CGI was fun as hell, it was far too unreal to ever actually happen. Oh well...

Is this what our government has sunk to?

In Texas, a nationally known activist and his wife have lost the custody of their child for being "Unsuitable Parents"... The reason? They were teaching their kids that they shouldn't trust the government. REALLY?? Our country was founded on the principles of NOT trusting your government, because government naturally becomes corrupt over time. The whole purpose of the Constitution is when our government becomes tyrannical, that the People of These Unites States would revolt and replace the government with a new one. I guess our time has come to actually do something about it.

The case against Barry and Candace Cooper is obviously because Barry, as a former Texas Narcotics Officer - and a highly decorated one at that - has been an Anti-Drug-War Activist. Barry has produced a DVD on how NOT to get caught by the police with drugs in your car, and it has become apparent than the government doesn't take kindly to former cops teaching people how to hide their weed.

The report states that one of the Cooper children was "crying excessively for no reason" during the execution of the search warrant... Are you kidding me? The kid was crying because there was a SWAT Team running through their house all dressed in black with fully automatic weapons. I would be crying if I was 7 years old too! The government, and especially Texas, needs to get the message, and soon. We will NOT go down quietly, and we will fight for our rights and liberties. These parents were not doing anything wrong by teaching their kids to not trust the government... Barry and Candi Cooper should be commended for standing up for their rights!!

Below, I've included the CPS document for the case... It's absolutely absurd that people can't speak their mind anymore. More on what we're supposed to do about it later.

This will be short and sweet.

This being my first blog posting here, I figured I'd keep it short and sweet for everyone's benefit. This is just a short introduction of who I am, my experiences and qualifications, and what this blog is about. I'll start out by introducing myself. My name is Adam, and I'm a single father, raising my son to the best of my ability. I'm a former physical therapy practice owner, but I'm not a physical therapist. I am a jack of all trades, master of none, and I have had enough life experience to be an expert in many subjects. I'm a former Marine Armorer, and as such have knowledge of many different types of weapons, military strategy, and expert marksmanship. I collect Military Surplus Weapons.

I am a staunch Libertarian, and a supporter of individual liberties... ALL of them. I'm also a full time college student headed towards a degree in Conservation and Environmental Science, with a focus on Sustainable Energy Management. Everyone asks me, "Isn't that pretty liberal??" Hell no, the first conservationists were Conservatives, and the best and brightest of them are Libertarians... Liberals don't even know what it is they're trying to save, let alone how to save it. I love my carbon footprint, and the footprints of all my friends. We collectively (personal, industrial, etc) don't even make up 5% of the greenhouse gases that are produced by the PLANKTON alone on Earth... We are a blip in the radar of the Earth's existence, but that doesn't mean protecting the environment shouldn't still be important. Mess up my environment, and you mess with my animals... and I don't like that.

This blog is about your freedoms, our freedoms, in this country, and how they are slowly being taken away from us. You may find scientific articles, political journals, and ways to protect yourself from the government that is destroying the foundations of this great nation. Our government used to be afraid of The People, and now the people are afraid of the government. The Founding Fathers would turn in their graves if they knew what was going on in their beloved country today.
